Letícia Ribeiro
Dancer
Letícia is a passionate Brazilian dancer from São Paulo, deeply rooted in the rhythms of her country. Growing up in a family surrounded by music and dance, she was immersed in this vibrant world from a young age. She began learning traditional Brazilian styles like Samba no pé and Samba rock with her parents, which soon blossomed into a deep love for dancing Axé and Pagode da Bahia for fun.
Carnaval has always been a meaningful part of Letícia’s journey. She has always attended Sscola de Samba rehearsals to experience the powerful energy of the community and the unforgettable rhythm of the bateria. In 2015, she had the opportunity to parade with the São Lucas Samba school, gaining a deeper appreciation for the year-round dedication that brings the magic of Carnaval to life
.
After moving to Sydney, Letícia started dancing FitDance — a dynamic Brazilian dance style that fuses Axé, Pagode da Bahia, Funk, Piseiro, and Forró. Her passion led her to become an instructor with Plus Dance Company, where she continues to share her love for Brazilian music and movement. She is also a long time member of Escola de Samba Sydney and brings her passion to the Rio Projekt stage show, The Carnaval Experience.
For Letícia, dance is more than an art form — it’s a way of life. Her connection to Brazilian rhythms has helped her grow, find confidence, and bring the best version of herself into everything she does.
