Luciana Cidrao

Born and raised in Fortaleza in the northeast of Brazil, Luciana is a classically trained professional dancer specialising in Urban Brazilian dance. 

She started Ballet at the age of just 4 and is trained in the classical / commercial genres including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap.  During her childhood and early adolescence, Luciana participated in several dance festivals and competitions through Academia de Dança Michelle Fontenelle, including as a soloist in the Passo de Arte Norte/Nordeste competition between for many years.

Luciana then went on to join Academia de Dança Vera Passos where she spent many years training, performing and blossoming into a highly skilled dance instructor. In addition to participating in numerous dance shows at the academy, Luciana has also performed around Brazil and internationally at events and festivals including Festival de dança de Joinville in Joinville SC (2014), Festival Internacional de Hip Hop in Curitiba-PR (2016 and 2018), Dança de grupo - Domingão do Faustão on TV Globo (2019) and Disney Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida (2015) and Paris Euro Disney (2017).

Luciana is passionate about her art and culture.  She is a dynamic and explosive performing artist on stage and brings her infectious energy and solid experience in Brazilian dance to the Rio Projekt ensemble and shows. 

In addition to her dance career, Luciana is also professional Civil Engineer.
